Shenzhen University School of Medicine was founded in 2008. To fully integration of medical school and affiliated hospitals, Shenzhen University Health Science Center (SZUHSC) was established in 2013. The SZUHSC currently has about 150 faculty members(excepting those in affiliated hospitals),more than 80% of who have been trained and/or worked abroad. Among them, there are members of the National Academy of Sciences of USA, National Natural Science Fund for Distinguished Youth scholars ,and regular members of the study sections for the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

At present, there are 4 undergraduate programs (Clinical Medicine, Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering, and Nursing) leading to Bachelor of Medicine, 2 Master programs in first-level disciplines (basic medical sciences and biomedical engineering) and 1 PhD program in Clinical Medicine. The international MSc program on Molecular Medicine is being established in 2017. The SZUHSC-Jena University joint PhD program is expected to take in the first students in September 2017. We provide students with extremely easy access to top researchers and physicians and international exposure. We promote creative & innovative thinking and encourage students to get involved in or lead top-notched research projects.
