Under the goal of the University to construct a high-level University, from the establishment of Shenzhen University Health Science Center (SZUHSC), we have adhering to the “high-end, Elite” school philosophy. SZUHSC has attaches great importance to the teaching, science research, talent recruitment and internationalization. Till now, HSC has 16 full-time foreign teachers that accounts for 11% of faculty members. Among all the faculty members, who has oversea study or working experience accounted for around 61%.

HSC develops the internationalized training mode actively. Till today, we have established cooperative relations with many foreign famous universities. The joint master’s program with University College Dublin Ireland (University College Dublin Ireland – Shenzhen University joint master program of clinical medicine) has recruited students from July, 2014. There are two branch students have enrolled in this program. In the cooperation with the University of Edinburgh, the joint program in training medical talents and establishing scientific research platform has entered the concrete implementation phase. At this moment, on the basis of present condition, the international MSc/PhD Program on Molecular Medicine has been established from Sept. 2017 via the establishment of international convergence graduate courses, such as, advanced biochemistry, advanced cell biology, principles, cancer biology and the others.

On the aspect of scientific research, the cooperation between the team of Prof. Danis Carson, the academician of the United States has been reached to build Carson international cancer center together in Shenzhen. This program will greatly improve the scientific research strength and medical treatment level of tumor treatment in Shenzhen. The jointly PhD program with Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena has entered the implementation phase. The first branch of this program has enrolled in Sept. 2017. Additionally, SZUHSC has sponsored many international academic conferences in recent years, such as Shenzhen - Hongkong Medical Science Forum (2014), Shenzhen Brain Science Forum (2015), the Fifth International Symposium on medicine, food, plant resources and active ingredients and Chinese Biomedical Ultrasound Association Annual Conference (2016). In this year, the 8^th international symposium on DNA Damage Response & Human Diseases and the 1^st international symposium on Radiation Therapeutics & Biology will be held in Shenzhen University, which greatly enhanced the international influence of the SZUHSC.
