A. Personal statement

Dr Wang obtained his M.D and PhD degree from the Central South University, China in 1991. He was appointed as Professor in 1997 and as Chair of the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology in 1998 at the Second People’s Hospital of Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. He became the academic leader of the State Key Clinical Department of Orthopedics in 2010. His main research interests are the biological mechanisms of bone fracture healing, osteoarthritis pathology, and cartilage tissue engineering. Dr Wang has received many awards, such as the third prize for Chinese Medical Science (2017). He has also received many research grants and his total research funding totals more than RMB¥15,000,000. Dr. Wang has given 30 lectures worldwide?and has published 210 papers and 50 abstracts.
