A. Personal statement

Xiaohua Xiao, Ph.D. works as a Master’s supervisor, Chief Physician, and Director of Geriatrics. He is also an expert in reviewing articles for the Journal of China Medical Herald, is Chairman of the Shenzhen Brain and Neuroelectrophysiology Association, and is a member of the China Anti-Epilepsy Association Nodular Sclerosis Committee. He is Deputy Director of the Guangdong Provincial Health Association Neurology Branch, Deputy Director of the Guangdong Provincial Health Association Alzheimer's Medical and Fusion Branch, Guangdong Director of the Epilepsy Association, and Director of the Shenzhen Anti-Epilepsy Association. He is also a member of the Standing Committee of the Neuromuscular Disease and the Clinical Electrophysiology Committee of the Guangdong Society of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine, a member of the Neurology Branch of the Guangdong Medical Doctor Association, and a member of the Parkinson's Disease and Dyskinesia Disease Group. He is Deputy Director of the Geriatrics Branch of the Shenzhen Medical Doctor Association, and of the Geriatrics Branch of the Shenzhen Medical Association, and is a standing committee member of both the Neurology Committee and Neurology Branch of the Shenzhen Medical Association. He is also a Shenzhen Stroke standing committee member. He is predominantly engaged in the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy, cerebrovascular disease, dizziness, Parkinson's disease, dementia, encephalitis, neuropsychological diseases, and other neurodegenerative diseases and demyelinating diseases. His work is funded by the National Science and Technology Ministry, Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Commission and other scientific research funds, the total funding exceeds 3 million yuan. As corresponding author, he has published high-level academic papers in Pattern Recognition, the IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics, IEEE Access and other international journals.
