A. Personal statement

Xinyu Wang is Professor, Chief Physician, Graduate Mentor, and Deputy Director of the Endocrinology and Metabolism Department of The First Affiliated Hospital of Shenzhen University. He is a member of the Thyroid Disease Branch of the Chinese Prevention Medicine Association, is Chairman of the Diabetes Professional Committee of the Shenzhen Physician Association, and is Vice?Chairman of both the Endocrinology Branch of the Shenzhen Medical Association?and of the MDT Branch of the Shenzhen Health Management Association.

He has been engaged in clinical and scientific research, and teaching of endocrinology and metabolic diseases for 33 years, and has served as a visiting professor at the Medical College of New York University and the Diabetes Research Center of Einstein Medical College. He has presided over more than 10 key scientific and technological projects in Guangdong Province, Henan Province and Shenzhen city, with a cumulative scientific research fund of more than 1 million yuan. He has published nearly 40 papers and 10 SCI papers, and has won two second-class awards for scientific and technological progress at both provincial and ministerial levels.
