A. Personal statement

Zhong Liu is MD, postdoctoral fellow of Tokyo National Center for Child Health and Development,?and Master Supervisor of Shenzhen University Medical College. Dr. Liu?is the Vice Director of General Surgery of Shenzhen University General Hospital, Chief Physician and Professor. Dr. Liu is mainly engaged in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal and anal diseases and inguinal hernia, especially in the laparoscopic treatment of gastric and colorectal cancer, as well as the minimally invasive treatment of perianal benign diseases and inguinal hernia. Dr. Liu serves as a member of the Anorectal Branch of Chinese Medical Association, a member of the Surgery Branch of Guangdong Medical Association, and a member of the Surgical Professional Committee of Shenzhen Medical Association. Dr. Lius?research direction is in immunotherapy of gastrointestinal tumors and immune tolerance of organ transplantation. He has chaired >10 research projects including general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation. He has published >50 papers, among which >10 are in SCI-Indexed articles as first or corresponding author.
