Speaker Profile: Dr Cao Weiguo is a tenured professor in the Department of Genetics and Biochemistry at Clemson University. His research mainly focuses on the molecular mechanism of DNA damage and its relation with carcinogenesis. He is a world-renowned expert in nitrosative stress induced DNA damage and repair. Dr Cao Weiguo has published nearly 60 papers in international high IF journals and Nature journals, written several authoritative reviews by invitation, and hosted projects funded by NIH, Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Agriculture and private foundations. He also participated in federal fund projects evaluation, served as distinguished editor of professional journals and won a number of research prizes.
