Shenzhen University Delegates Visited Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan for Exchange and Admission Promotion

From April 21st to 28th, 2024, a Shenzhen University (SZU) delegation visited the Republics of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, and participated in the "HSK Study in China Education & Career Expo in Kazakhstan" event hosted by Chinese Testing International Co., Ltd. The delegation was led by Ms. Ying Qu, Vice Dean of the College of International Exchange, and accompanied by Professor Xingzhi Xu, Executive Dean of the Medical School, and Weiyao Qiu, Director of the Medical School Administration Office.

Prof. Xingzhi Xu introduces SZU at the Opening Ceremony of International Conference of Young Scientists on Actual Problems of Modern Medicine, April 22, Tashkent Medical Academy

 

The delegation visited several universities and research institutions in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, including Tashkent Medical Academy in Uzbekistan, the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Kazakh National Medical University, Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, and Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications (named after Gumarbek Daukeyev).

 

The SZU representatives held in-depth and fruitful discussions with various representatives, including Dr. Jakhongir Israilov, Vice Rector of Tashkent Medical Academy, and Professor Lyazzat Yeraliyeva, Vice President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Discussion covered undergraduate and graduate student exchanges, joint doctoral supervisor programs, faculty exchange programs, and the establishment of joint research/education centers, resulting in several cooperative intentions.

The delegates attended several study-abroad information sessions, where Ms. Ying Qu delivered recruitment presentations on behalf of SZU.

On April 26th, SZU’s booth at the "HSK Study in China Education & Career Expo in Kazakhstan" hosted by Chinese Testing International Co., Ltd., proved very popular. The delegates introduced the university's history, academic specialties, campus environment, and study abroad policies. Over 100 registration forms were collected.
