A.?? Personal Statement

My research interests are mainly in the biomedical ultrasound imaging and instrumentations, biomechanical modeling of soft tissues, ultrasound elasticity imaging and measurement. Research in my lab has been continuously supported by the National Natural Science Foundation in China (NSFC) and the Shenzhen government and Guangdong Province. I am the Executive Deputy Director of Guangdong Key Laboratory for Biomedical Measurements and Ultrasound Imaging, China, and have received >20 grants as the principle investigator over the course of my career. I was awarded the 1st Basic Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars of Shenzhen Government in 2010, and several best paper awards. I serve as a reviewer for several international journals, including Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology, IEEE Transactions of Biomedical Engineering, and Ultrasonics, and am also a reviewer for the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Medical Science Division and Information Science Division. I have published >60 peer-reviewed technical papers, hold one US patent and three Chinese patents.
